Charles Christie Johnson was a school prefect and a fine sportsman playing in the Football XI, and the Cricket 2nd XI and won a Ledbury Cap. He was also a Lieutenant in the Corps.
He volunteered with the Queen Victoria’s Rifles, and was initiated in their lodge, the Victoria Rifles Lodge No 822.
He was a Lloyd’s man in his professional life, focusing on marine insurance.
