George Ticehurst

George Farquharson Ticehurst was a solicitor and Provincial Grand Secretary of Gloucestershire between 1937 and 194 and later appointed PGD by Grand Lodge. He was initiated in Foundation Lodge No 82 in Cheltenham. He was also rather senior in the Provincial Rose Croix.

Ticehurst was a petitioner for the creation of the Old Malvernian Lodge, but not a Founder. That is to say he signed the petition, but did not then appear on the list of Founders at the Consecration.

He practiced in Cheltenham with his partners in the firm Ticehursts McIlquham & Wyatt at Essex Place, and was the hon Secretary of the Cheltenham Ratepayers Association.

He was commissioned into the Gloucesters during the Great War.
