Cuthbert Dallas Middleton-Wake was a marine motor engineer.
Born in 1864 the son of a clergyman, he was a member of the Order of St John, today known for the St John’s Ambulance organisation. He was also a member of the Royal Cornwall Polytechnic Society, known as ‘the Poly’, an arts and sciences charity in his hometown of Falmouth.
A local man in all respects he was initiated into Lodge of Love and Honour No 75 in Falmouth.
